New Year---
Wow I cannot believe it has been a year already. So much and yet so little has happened this year. We went to Unbelted, Estrella war, and other events here in CAID, had a blast. Kateri was the Baronial champion at Starkhafn Anniversary, the champion at Highland War, and at Great Western War (all for her age group in Boffers). She is moving on to youth combat this year I wish her lots of luck. Ed’s father came down for a visit and we all went to NASCAR. It was a lot of fun watching cars turn left. In reality it was a blast both Kateri and I were a little hoarse on Monday from all of the yelling that we did. We also went to the RUSH Concert this year. It was Kateri’s first rock concert and she had a blast. We had to move not because we had wanted to landlord lost the house. I found us a nice slightly larger house to rent with a garage (Yeah a place to store SCA stuff)... it is not too far from Ed’s Knights house so that is good for Ed. Plus it is closer to several other friends houses so that was good. It also moved Kateri into a better school . I am so proud of my daughter. As many of you are aware she has a reading disorder and she has struggled for years but it seems to be clicking she has worked her but off and I could not be prouder. We had to buy a newer truck because Ed’s van kept dying and it stupid to keep getting it fixed. This year was not without some sorrow. A person who had a very large impact on my life passed away. But because of this persons passing I was able to reconnect with many people, that I had hidden myself away from... stupid blond thing to do I know… However it is wonderful to find that those who you have always held dear to your hart no matter what have done the same even though I was being silly… I love you guys…I also look back at this year in the world of work....I will say that not only were friends of old rediscovered but I made new friends that I hold near and dear to my heart. Ren Fair was a blast thank you. I love my job and I love my team... I know that many of you know that I did not love my boss. .. I am proud to say I did the best I could and stuck it out. I am still with Starbucks, however the DM of doom is not… I do however wish him the best in the next step of his life because he was a good person even if he was not the best DM for me… I look forward to new challenges at work…For those who were there to help ring in the New Year I cannot thank you enough for your companionship. It is said that how you spend your New Years Eve will foreshadow how you will spend the New Year... I hope this is true because then I will be surrounded by those I love my friends and family… I look forward to the next year and the adventures it may bring.

Ok so I hardly ever post i just lurk in the back ground keeping my lippy comments to myself.. But I am board.. Kid is babysitting band practice is going on I am suppose to be cleaning my house for my mothers visit but I am stuck in a rutt so I thought I would log on ramble about nothing ok so I quess back to work on unpacking more boxes. |
